Exporting Your Story as a Video
Once you have finished creating your chat story in TextingStory, you can export the conversation as a video file to share on other platforms. This export option is accessible via the large, pink Export button located at the bottom of the main editing screen.
Accessing the Export Menu
To begin the export process, tap the Export button. This action opens a menu presenting three primary ways to save or share your story: Share PDF, Share story file, and Share video. The **Share video **option appears when the video finishes generating.
The Video Sharing Sheet
After selecting Share video a sheet presenting several direct sharing destinations opens:
- YouTube: Share directly to your YouTube channel.
- Snapchat: Send the video to your Snapchat contacts or story.
- Instagram: Post the video to your Instagram feed or Stories.
- Messages: Send the video via your default messaging application.
Additional Sharing Methods
Beyond the direct social media icons, you have more options accessible by tapping the All sharing options button (represented by an upward-pointing arrow icon). This reveals standard system sharing methods, including:
- AirDrop: Share the file wirelessly with nearby Apple devices.
- Messages/WhatsApp: Alternative access to messaging apps.
- Notes: Save the video directly to the Notes app.
- Copy: Copy the video file to your device's clipboard.
- Save Video: Save the file directly to your device's photo library.
- More: Accesses all other compatible installed applications.
Tips
You can alternatively share your story as a multi-page PDF for printing or a single-page PDF file for on-screen reading.
You can also share a story file to open and edit the story on another device with TextingStory.
