This guide will show you how to duplicate an existing story to quickly create a new version with the same content. Duplicating is useful when you want to start a new story while keeping the characters, settings, and message content of a previous one.
From the My stories screen, locate the story you wish to duplicate (e.g., Demo 3).
Tap the three-dot menu icon to the right of the story entry.
From the context menu that appears, select the Duplicate action.
A dialog box titled Enter a name for your story will appear, ready for you to input a new name.
Enter the desired new name for the duplicate story in the text field.
Tap OK to confirm the creation of the duplicate story.
If you select Use as preset instead of Duplicate, the story you select will be used as the default visual style for any new story you create going forward, without copying the message content.
The duplicate story will appear in your My stories list with the new name you provided and will contain an exact copy of all messages and settings from the original story.
This article demonstrated how to duplicate an existing story using the three-dot menu on the My stories screen. Duplicating allows you to preserve all previous content while creating a ready-to-edit copy.
